Countdown to Florida V Texas or Oklahoma once again in the BCS? Well, yes it look that way right now. Florida has sick talent all the way through the roster and they have Tim Tebow and no one else does. They will have to survive the tough SEC but could still advance with the one loss (Last year they lost to Ole Miss and Transfer from Texas QB/Pro Prospect Jevan Snead).
Between Oklahoma and Texas one of them will win the Big 12 and probably be undefeated or just simply have one good loss like last year. Basically, if its a chalk season then this will be the matchup we will see in the BCS Championship. But, if these Big 12 titans have one loss and there is a viable undefeated team then they will be on the outside looking in on the title game.
There are a few teams out there looking to crash the party. As always USC has a sick level of talent. They are just replacing a QB and that can always be trouble. If their QB situation is somewhat stable they could easily roll the Pac 10 and if they get by The Ohio State then their undefeated record could plant them in the title game. As of now their QB1 Aaron Corp is nursing a slightly broken leg and true frosh #1 Recruit Matt Barkley is sitting in the QB1 spot. The talent around the QB is just sick and if they do not have their traditional loss that they should have won then this team will face-off against the King of Florida Tim Tebow in the title game.
The other possibilities out there are maybe an undefeated ACC or Big East team, but that is unlikely as none of the teams are consistent enough on both sides of the ball to pull this off. Outside of the BCS, a Boise State or BYU or anyone else are not a better option than a one loss USC, Big 12, or SEC team to be put in ahead of them. I do like what is going on at The Ohio State with Terrelle Pryor, who is sick in NCAA '10, if they can beat USC then they will have quite the resume if they are undefeated with a marquee win over the Trojans. Notre Dame could make some noise with their weak schedule but they do not have the talent to beat a couple of the elite teams on their schedule.
At this point, I'm going to go with the undefeated West Coast USC talent falling to the new owner of College Football Tim Tebow and the rest of the Gators in the BCS Title Game.
I'll add The University of Washington is looking like it is on the right track. But, that is the homer in me talking until there is results in the Win column.
Just for the eyes...
